After graduation, I worked for the Scripps Research Institute in the department of Virology and I was accepted into the Medical College of Virginia in 2004. I initially returned to California and served as the chief resident of my Family Medicine residency class at UC Davis, Sacramento.
I am a board-certified family physician and current member of the AMA and AAFP. I became a Virginia transplant 8 years ago when I married my wife who I met in medical school. I spent five of those years serving as the Medical Director of the Denbigh Patient First gaining vast experience in both urgent care and primary care needs. My wife is a native of York County, a practicing anesthesiologist, and the current Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Together we are raising our two beautiful and energetic 7 and 8 year old sons. If I am not at work then you will find me on the golf course or coaching for the boy’s York County Little League team.
I decided to pursue my dream of opening CountyMed, a Direct Primary Care clinic, in order to provide personalized and professional care, catering to a smaller subset of members. My goal is to regain focus on patient’s individual needs and offer a unique experience through enhanced face-to-face visits and telemedicine, when required or requested. I am honored to continue serving my community as a primary care physician and I am ready to respond to my patient’s needs.
